Easter Dessert: Strawberry Pie 

Aside from Easter bunnies, the other thing that most children anticipate is the pies and other sweets. Since this is one of the time of the year where all children in the family are gathered, it’s best to prepare something that will surely catch their attention.

For a sweet treat for children with a sweet tooth, you will never go wrong with a whole serving of pie served with love. Best served with good for the health smoothie recipes.

What you need

berries1 pc. of pre-maid pie crust of about 9 inches; baked

1 cup of fresh strawberries;

1 cup of white sugar

3 tbsp. of cornstarch

3/4 cup of water

1/2 cup of all-purpose whipping crème

Steps:

Divide the strawberries into two parts. Mash the one half in a small saucepan and add sugar. Then line the remaining strawberries in the crust.

For the mashed berried, cook it over low to medium and boil. To avoid overcooking and burning of the berries, stir gradually.

In a separate mixing bowl, combine the cornstarch plus water. Slowly pour in the mixture into the heated berry mixture. Lower the heat and let the mixture to simmer until the desired thickness of the mixture is attained.

After, pour the set aside mixture into the shell and refrigerate to chill. Using another separate mixing bowl, make the whipping mix until a desired soft peak is achieved. Best served chilled.
